CRITERIA & GUIDELINES FOR GRANTS
FANS 2024 Intake Open - Deadline September 15, 2024
The FANS Grant Program provides project grants to assist emerging and established North and West Vancouver artists of all ages who are interested in developing their artistic practice. Artists must be currently active in their particular discipline and intend to continue pursuing their practice. From cutting a new CD, to developing a website, or purchasing materials to create a new artwork, FANS is here to help.
Applicants must be currently living on the North Shore (North & West Vancouver + Bowen Island & Lions Bay) or must prove that the majority of their creative work takes place there. FANS welcomes applications from all individual artists including indigenous artists and those with marginalized experiences.
Eligible artists may apply for awards under one of the following categories:
Research or Professional Development
Artistic Production
Marketing Development
Indigenous Arts
Other
Grant funds are generated from the annual investment income of FANS endowment, managed by the North Shore Community Foundation.
As of December 2023, the FANS Board is pleased to announce that it has provided our local artists with 99 grants funding that has a combined total value of $109,000.
